GEORGE, ROBERT "BOB" BYRON, 80, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012.
Bob was a graduate of the University of Louisville Speed Engineering School and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church and an avid U of L fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charmon Hacker George; daughter, Karen McAdams (G. Michael); son, Keith George (Terri Weaver); and brother, Ralph George Jr. (Rita). He was the beloved grandfather of Jennifer Gercak (Adam), Amanda Rossbach (Cody), and Serafine George; and great-grandfather of Isabel and Olivia Rossbach and Audrey and Addison Gercak.
His funeral service will be at noon, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1127 East Broadway with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. and from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
