He was born May 19, 1941 in Louisville. He attended St. James Catholic School and Saint Xavier High School. He is an Army veteran and retired owner operator of Whipps Mill Furniture. He was also a longtime sales associate at Smith Furniture. He was married to Anna Smith Kaelin on August 20, 1988.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Lillian Kaelin and his sister, Mary Ann Schroering.
He is survived by Anna Smith Kaelin; his brother-in-law, Robert L. Schroering Sr.; three nephews, Tim (Cathy) and Robert Schroering (Debra), of Louisville and Marty Schroering (Carolyn), of Kansas City, MO; and niece, Jenny Schaaf (David), of Louisville.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint James Catholic Church, 1826 Edenside Ave., Louisville, KY 40204. Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Thursday at church, with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements: Highlands Funeral Home.
