Obituary for Robert "Bob" Panlener

Robert A. "Bob" Panlener 85, of Louisville, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010.
He was native of Kenosha, WI. and a graduated of Marquette University. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a mechanical engineer. Bob was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, and honored as "Elk of the Year" in 2001 by Elk Lodge # 2029 in Canton, OH . He was also a member of Elks Lyndon Lodge # 2059 and of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Kaja Panlener; daughters, Barbara Steinbock (David) and Jeanne Panlener; sons, Robert A. Panlener Jr., (Marsha) and John J. Panlener (Carey); and grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Christopher, Thomas, Ryan, Aaron, Eric, Sean, Katie and Joseph.
His funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2010 at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 S. 6th St. with visitation from 1 p.m. to service at the church. Arrangements by Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home.
