Obituary for Robert "Bob" W. Rutledge

Robert “Bob” W. Rutledge, 91, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Nazareth Rehabilitation Facility.

Bob was born April 21, 1927 to the late George and Anna Belle Rutledge.

He retired from E.I. DuPont after 38 years, and was a member of the Portland Ave. Presbyterian Church and the Termite A.C. Robert was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served during WWII.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Jean (Davis) Rutledge; brother, George S. Rutledge; sons, David (Sandy), Tommy and Dan (Gina); grandchildren, Chris (Shea), Jason (Jodi) and their mother, Barbara Zeller Rutledge, Troy (Heather), Amber, Courtney (Kory) and Brittany; seven great-grandchildren; six nieces and three nephews.

His funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Highlands.
