Obituary for Robert J. THIENEMAN

THIENEMAN, ROBERT J., 81, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2010.
Bob was a realtor and developer in Louisville for over 55 years. He attended St. Xavier High School, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Bob started his small family business in the late 1950s that grew into its current structure as RJ Thieneman Realty Group, which is a residential, commercial and multifamily developer as well as a property management and full-service real estate company.
Known for his fairness, honesty and integrity, Bob was admired and respected by all who knew him, both personally and professionally. He was proud of the reputation he earned as a builder and developer of many quality neighborhoods that are now home to thousands of Louisville residents. He will be greatly missed by his large family and significant family of friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Mary Thieneman, and two brothers, Ray and Tom Thieneman.
A devoted husband and father, Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Faye Burnett Thieneman; his children, Paula Thieneman Bates (Larry), Pat Thieneman Seitz, Pam Davis (Dennis), Bob Thieneman, Jr. (Bev), and Brian Thieneman; grandchildren, Tommy Jones (Melissa), Kelly Pesis (Bryan), Stacy Conley (Ben), Trevor Jones (fiancée Kristie), Trey Seitz, Jay Klein, Troy Jones, Brent Klein (Stephanie), R.J. Thieneman, III, Chelsey Thieneman, Alan Thieneman, and Lily Thieneman; great-grandchildren Tommy Jones, Taylor Jones, Trent Jones, Kayla Klein, Cole Pesis and Jillian Pesis. He is also survived by his brothers Bill, Clifford, Clinton, Richard, and Leo; and his sisters, Sister Mary Helen Thieneman and Martha Stuber.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Margaret Mary with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. on Thursday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
