Obituary for Robert A. "Bobby" Zimmer
Robert (Bobby) A. Zimmer, age 62, passed away on Wednesday March 13th, 2024.
Born in Louisville, KY to the late Henry and Joann Zimmer, Bobby worked as a bus monitor and driver for JCPS. He was also a member of Elks Lodge and St. Matthews Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rene Zimmer, his son, Michael Zimmer and his brother, Ed Zimmer.
He is survived by his son, Steven; sisters, Edie Fawbush (Mark), Judy Stevens (Doug), and brother, Hank Zimmer; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, March 18th, and from 10:30 am until the 12:00 Noon service time on Tuesday. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Elks Lodge #2052, 904 Ormsby Lane, Louisville, KY 40242.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
