Obituary for Rosemary King Stinchcomb (King)

ROSEMARY KING STINCHCOMB:

Age 87. Stepped into the arms of her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 20, 2020.

Rosemary was born on October 28, 1932 to George Wallace and Audra Ellen King and raised on a farm in Shelby County, KY. She was the last surviving of ten children including 5 brothers, Wilmer, Paul, Wallace Jr., Gene, and Thomas and 4 sisters, Margaret, Mae, Katherine and Bobbie.

Rosemary’s life, like all lives, held much joy as well as earthly trials. Throughout her life, she steadfastly held onto her faith in God and the love of her family. She loved to work with children, hence her studies in early childhood education. Her interests included the arts, volunteering at Actor’s Theater for a time, reading, and writing poetry. She also loved animals and adopted several cats over the years.

She is survived by her children, Jim, June and David, their respective spouses Beth, Rick, and Denise, as well as her grandchildren, Christine and Christine’s husband, Sean, Daniel, Matthew, Carley, Morgan, Katie, Krista, and Madison, many nieces and nephews including Kat and Bill Hastings, Mark Snead, sisters-in-law, Helen Hastings and June King, brother-in-law, Robert Nally. Rosemary would have had a great grandson who is due to be born in just a few weeks.

The family wishes to thank Flagler Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bunnell, FL and AdventHealth in Palm Coast, FL for the compassionate care they provided to Rosemary in her final days. Donations in lieu of flowers to “My Dog Eats First,” 2640 Gleeson Lane, Suite D, Louisville, KY 40299 would be appreciated.

There will be private services.
