Roy K. Johns, 97, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018.

A native of Logan Co., KY, Roy was a U.S. Army veteran and an engineer with Alcoa. He was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry David Johns.

Roy is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Kathy (Burchette) Johns; sister, Marion Lamb and many loving nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Russellville, KY at 2:00 CST.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at Highlands.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Matthews Baptist Church.
