Obituary for Roy Wayne Whitworth
Roy Wayne Whitworth, 96, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019.
Roy was a U.S. Army WWII veteran serving in the European and South-East Asian Theatres. He was retired from General Electric and a member of Watkins United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Carlock) Whitworth and son, William Whitworth.
Roy is survived by his daughter, Sara Monahan; grandchildren, Keith, Kevin and Rick and 1 great-grandson.
His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Watkins United Methodist Church.
