Obituary for Rudolph Hendricks

Hendricks, Rudolph, 88, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.
Born in Bloomfield, KY, he was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and attended Spencerian College. Rudolph was a US Army veteran of WWII, having served as a medic on a hospital ship. He was retired from GE after serving as hourly payroll leader for 31 years. He was a member of Buechel Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Kosair Shrine Temple, and Melbourne Heights Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, David Hendricks; his parents, Perry and Mae Hendricks of Bloomfield; and a sister, Marshalene Colvin.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Erma J. Hendricks; sons, Eddie Hendricks (Charlotte), Rev. Mike Hendricks (Beverly), and Jerry Hendricks (Vicky); daughters, Debbie Siler (Mike) and Rebecca Sims (Gary); step-daughter, Phyllis McKim (Burrell); sisters, Donna Mae and Alma Jean; brothers, Orvin and Garland; 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be at 11 am, Wednesday, October, 20, 2010 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 pm Tuesday and from 9:30-11 am on Wednesday at Highlands.
