GREGORY, RUTH (EYL), 81, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Regis Woods Care Center.
She was a very special person; loving wife, nurturing mother, and grandmother, and caring friend who was kind to all and will be greatly missed.
Born in Louisville, she was a graduate of Presentation Academy as well as Catherine Spalding School of Nursing and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was a nurse for over 40 years working at the old St. Joseph's Hospital and then retiring from Nazareth Home in 1998.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Scott Gregory Sr.
She is survived by her children, Scott Gregory Jr. (Debbie) and their children, Ashlee, Kyle and Heather, Steven Gregory (Wendy) and their children, CeCe and Sloane, Julie Schum and her children, Kayla, Herbert Jr. and Allyson. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Herbert Schum.
Her funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on August 9, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands.
