Obituary for Ruth Ann Roth (Greenwell)
Roth, Ruth Ann Greenwell,
was born March 25, 1935 to F. Vincent Greenwell and Ruth Farmer Greenwell in Louisville KY. She died May 5, 2018 at the age of 83. Ruthie, to her friends and family, graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. She met and married Tom in 1955 and the adventure began as they lived in several states .Ruth Ann accomplished her professional career as a Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse in Tulsa Oklahoma. They returned to Louisville and lived out their days among their family and friends. She loved to travel and she loved the movies. She made the world a prettier place through her art, her music and her decorations. Everyone who knew her, loved her. Thank you to Brownsboro Park and Nazareth Home staff and residents for their care and friendship.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas; and brothers, Vincent and David.
Ruth is survived by three sons: Stephen (Peggy) of Ft. Worth, TX; Christopher (Paula) of Greensboro, NC; and Michael (Kathy) of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; three sisters in law, Dodie Purcell, Evelyn Greenwell, and Janie Lubbers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, the 14th of May from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, the 15th of May at the Nazareth Home Chapel, 2000 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY. A private interment will take place at a later date.
