Saundra Kaye Cox, 79 of Louisville, passed away on Monday, April 18th, 2022.
In 1978, she opened Louisvilles original Counted Cross Stitch Shop, The Finishing Touch. She was a graduate of duPont Manual High School class of 1961. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Saundra was longtime member of Lynnhurst United Church of Christ and enjoyed singing in the choir. When she was not stitching she enjoyed traveling the world with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Jon Cox, and her parents, George and Inez Lee.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Cox (Angela); her two grandchildren; her brother, Jimmy Lee (Carol); and her sister-in-law, Marion Thomas (Paul), Carla Hassler (John) and Linda Cox.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26th from 10am-12pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with her service to follow at 12 pm. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Association or the American Alzheimers association.
