Obituary for Shirley Anne Dunagan
Shirley Anne Scott Dunagan, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 14th, 2022. She was born on February 27, 1938 to the late Dwight L. and Mary Martina Scott.
Shirley was a graduate of Presentation Academy and worked many years teaching at The dePaul School and as a teacher's aide at Mercy Academy. She had been a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church since 1963. Shirley also loved to sing, especially as a member of The Silver Notes Senior Chorus.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert Leon Dunagan, Jr., and her brother, William Dennis Scott. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Dunagan (Joyce); Michael Dunagan (Deanna); Timothy Dunagan (Yvonne); and Daniel Dunagan (Laura); her grandchildren, Shay, Jillian, Ashley, Andrew, Amber, Shelby, Sydney and Shane; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., Louisville, KY. Her funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1960 Bardstown Rd., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
