Obituary for Stacy Scott "Scotty" Lasley

Stacy Scott "Scotty" Lasley, 50, passed on Friday evening, February 2nd, after her month-long battle with the severe burns she incurred from a house fire on January 5th.

Scotty had a vibrant and larger-than-life personality, was quick to laugh, and could deal out hard truths with her mix of humor and sarcasm. She leaves a giant void in all of the lives she touched.

A self-professed “cat lady,” Scotty never turned away a stray who needed food and shelter. She was also an avid collector of Strawberry Shortcake memorabilia, a lover of 80s music, and anything by the artist P!nk.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Mason; and her younger brother, Joshua.

Scotty is survived by her daughter, Brooke "Sadie" Williams; parents, Marsha and Michael Sleder; sisters, Erzsi and Julia Sleder; and brothers, Jason, Jeremy (Jenniffer), Kyle (Bridget) and Casey (Chelsea) Lasley; along with many nieces and nephews.

Her nearly 20 year career with Parker Hannifin as a client service facilitator gave her a loving additional family-by-choice.

Scotty’s memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, February 9th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
