Sue Ellen Bradford, 89, joined her Lord and Savior in the early hours of June 10, 2022.
Sue spent the vast majority of her life helping others, serving as a registered nurse for 59 years. She was also a devoted member of the St. Marks United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, singing in the choir nearly every Sunday morning, and serving as a Parrish Health Nurse for the congregation. She spent her retired years sewing, baking, and spending time with her family and beloved pets. Her entire life was devoted to caring for others, including her patients, her children, her grandchildren, and in later years her grand-pets. Sue also fought and beat breast cancer in her later years.
Her many passions included reading, singing, and baking banana bread. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
Sue was born on November 27, 1932 in Evansville, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents Russell L. and Margaret Christine Voyles, Her brother Jerry L. Voyles, and sister Emily Ann Arts, and the father of her children Wallace W. Bradford.
She is survived by her brother David R. Voyles (Judy), her children, Annette M. Bradford, Scott A. Bradford (Carla), and Amy L. Ayers (Brian) and her grandchildren Shelby C. Bradford, Katie M. Schrock (Eric), Samantha A. Bradford, Grace M. Ayers, and Benjamin B. Ayers; and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 1 pm at Highlands Funeral Home on Taylorsville Road on Saturday, June 18th. A funeral service will follow after.
