Obituary for Sue Jeffries
Susan "Sue" Jeanette Jeffries passed away on February 22, 2021, in Sun City West, Arizona.
She was a dog writer and consultant who covered dog shows for The Courier-Journal and the former Louisville Times. Sue was also very active in the dog show community as a member of the Louisville Kennel Club, Silky Terrier Club of America, and the Derbytown Pekingese Club. Sue also raised and showed Silky Terriers for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ovil Williams Jeffries. Sue is survived by her niece, Tina Polley, her dear friend and caregiver, Scott Bunnell; and numerous friends in the dog show community.
Honoring her wishes, she was cremated and buried next to her beloved husband Ovil in Louisville Memorial Gardens West on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
