Obituary for Thelda Rose Glore (Busch)

Thelda Rose Glore, 93, of Louisville, KY died Monday, January 7th at Westport Health Campus Nursing Home.
She was born in Louisville, KY October 22, 1925 to her parents George Busch and Ella Koch Busch.
Thelda was retired from KFC/Yum! Brands where she worked over 29 years. She had many wonderful stories about her time at KFC’s “White House” and the early days working in the same building with the “Colonel”. She was a fierce advocate for the Colonel’s Original Recipe chicken... “no other chicken could come close “according to her!
Thelda was one of the first members of Ascension Parish Catholic Church where she worked in the cafeteria when the parish began operation years ago and volunteered for many church activities over the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Glore, Jr. and is survived by her sons, John M. Glore (Donna), Dennis R. Glore; 3 granddaughters, Laurie R. Morgan (Paul), Dana R. Thompson (Matt) and Deidre M. Lampley (A.J.) and one great-grandson, Ocean R. Bowling.
Visitation will take place from 1PM to 8PM Thursday, January 10th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, with her Vigil Service at 4PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 AM at the Church of the Ascension Catholic Church in Louisville with Entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park on Bardstown Rd.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Ascension Parish youth programs.
Special thanks to the care givers at Westport Health Campus , Westport Rd in Louisville.
