Obituary for Timothy Gerard Girton
It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the loss of Louisville legend, Timothy Gerard Girton.
Tim was a fixture in local radio, and although he's been out of the business for a while, his influence is still deeply felt by our community.
Tim was one of the most gifted air personalities and Program Directors in Louisville, and his skill showed through no matter what station he was on. He was also a talented photographer and photojournalist who loved reading, learning and a great cup of coffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Randall and Virgella.
He is survived by the loves of his life, Misty Meredith, Talia Girton (Tomasz Korolczuk), and London Girton-White; his grandson, Jeremiah Girton-White; two sisters, Beverly Girton and Tara Bell; his brothers, David Girton, Michael Girton, Randall White and Albert Gerton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be this Saturday, January 14th, from 11 am to 3 pm, with his funeral service at 3 pm. Services will take place at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
