Obituary for Velma Arlene Hottman

HOTTMAN,
Arlene Velma, 92, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Jefferson Place.
Born June 29, 1918 in Abilene, KS, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Junior Charles Hottman.
She was the daughter of Andrew and Laura Houlton.
She is survived by her son, Don Hottman (Nancy), of Louisville, KY; brother, David Houlton, of Abilene, KS; sister, Helen Pientka, of Salina, KS and JoAnn Lantz; two grandchildren, Lance (Weslea) and Kip (Rebecca) Hottman; and great-grandmother of Lyla Quinn and Isabella Rose Hottman.
She was a member of Shawnee Christian Church. A wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was a strong lady who loved her family and friends. She was 92 years young and enjoyed karaoke parties and just being with family. The world was blessed by her life, we will miss her.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful care of Jefferson Place Nursing Home.
