Obituary for Veronica "Bert" Bayer
Veronica "Bert" Bayer, 94, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Norton Women's and Chrildren's Hospital.
She lived in Louisville all her life and spent many years working for Highbaugh Enterprises, the info booths at the fairgrounds, and Churchill Downs. Bert rarely missed an opportunity to go to mass at Ascension, where she served as a part of the choir for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Bayer, her daughter and son-in-law Denise and Timothy Huber, and her four sisters Alice, Catherine, Frances, and Viola.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and James Barnes, sisters Theresa and Leona, grandchildren Andy and Matt Huber and Abby and Tony Barnes, and numerous loving neices and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 28, at Church of the Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrook Dr. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, from 3:00-8:00pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
