William “Ray” Brown, Sr., 82 of Louisville, passed away on Friday, February 5th, 2021, at his home.
He was born in Louisville, was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, class of 1956, and attended Bellarmine College. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a hardware salesman for Belknap, House Hasson and Kruse Company.
After his retirement, he worked for St. Matthews Hardware for over 20 years, where he made many friends. He was a member of Church of the Ascension.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Joan Williams Brown; his parents, Charles and Mary Aline Brown; two brothers, Charles Russell and Edwin Brown; and his daughter-in-law, Leslie Brown.
Ray is survived by his sons, Bill Brown, Jr. (Mike Garr), Pat Brown, and Tony Brown (Cindy); his grandchildren, Hannah (Jake), Nicholas, Sydney, Simeon and Hadassah; and his brothers, Jerry and Alvin Brown.
His visitation will be Wednesday, February 10th, 2021, 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at Church of the Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, Louisville, Kentucky.
His funeral Mass will be Thursday, 11:00 AM, at Church of Ascension, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
