Obituary for William Jack Schweitzer

SCHWEITZER, WILLIAM JACK, 90, of Louisville, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 at VAMC.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was an Army World War II veteran, a retired lab technician for Exxon Mobil and a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Louisville Hiking Club.
He is preceded in death by his wife, the former Edna Kurk.
Bill is survived by his nephews, Thomas Kurk (Betty), Thomas Schweitzer (Diane) and Richard Schweitzer.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1127 E. Broadway, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at church.
