Obituary for Willie Glenn O'Neal (Lowen)
Willie G. O’Neal was called to her heavenly home on April 26, 2022. She was born in 1930 to Clarence and Margaret Lowen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O’Neal. Her brothers, Jimmy (Clara) and Clarence (Angie) and her sister, Mary Margaret (Ernest) preceded her in death, as well.
She had three daughters: Glenda (Larry), Karen (Joe) and Kathy; as well as a stepdaughter, Peggy, and stepson, Michael. She loved all her grandchildren (12) and great-grandchildren (10). Aunt Bill cherished all her nephews and nieces and their families. She leaves behind her friends at Okolona Christian Church as well. She made friends wherever she went and never knew a stranger.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Hartland Hills and her many friends there. The family also wants to thank the staff at Lexington Premiere Nursing Home and the Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice team. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, in Louisville.
She will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens West following a service at the chapel at the cemetery at 11:00 on Monday, 5/2/22. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer’s or Dementia Research organizations or a favorite charity.
