RUF, Joseph William, 101, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Home.
He was born in Louisville to the late William Nickolas Ruf and Anna Muessle. He graduated from St. Xavier High School and was part owner and bookkeeper for J. George Electric Company. He was a member of the Louisville Hiking Club, St. X Alumni Association and KY Society of Natural History.
Joseph was preceded in death by siblings, Gilbert Leo (Eloise), Arthur “Bud” (Dot), George (Marie), Mary Rita Pfalzer (June) and Anita Thomas (Tony).
He is survived by his sister, Martha Stack (David) and many nieces and nephews.
Joseph’s visitation will be from 10-11:30 am Monday, November 30, 2015 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, followed by a 12:00 noon Mass at St. Therese Catholic Church, corner of Shiller and KY Avenue. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
