Condolences

Condolence From: Daniela Treadway
Condolence: Dear Chris,
We met Betty as new neighbors 26 years ago. She made us feel right at home from the very beginning. As a newlywed couple at the time, we knew little of Louisville. Betty became a friend as she helped us navigate becoming new parents. She watched over our boys when they were little with so much care and love.

Over the years, our friendship grew as did our boys. Betty was so kind and genuine - her optimism and smile would always turn a bad day into a better day. We shared lots of laughter and tears. She was like a mother I no longer had and also a grandmother figure to the boys. Her encouraging words and positivity helped us through all the ups and downs of life.

What a wonderful person Ms. Betty was - and will forever be - in our hearts.

You were so blessed to have this dear woman as your mother. Our hearts ache for your loss. God bless you and your family.

Condolence: Chris, what a kind, sweet person your mother was. Living across the street from her, I learned what it was like to have a special person like her in my life. She was always full of compliments and always was so appreciative of anything I did for her. She and Louie always waved when they were coming and going and they loved my dogs, always asking about them. I don't think I ever had a conversation with her that she didn't bring up your name, she was so proud of you.

I'm sorry I will miss the funeral home as I will be out of town. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We ate lunch at Golden Coral today and I told the manager that she had died. They couldn't believe it. Everyone there knew her and said she came to the Christmas party too. Apparently she had just eaten there last week because they remembered seeing her. It was very apparent that she had left behind her kindness to everyone there. And that's just how she was to everyone.
