WALKER, Ruth, 85, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at her home.
Born in Louisville, the former Ruth Foreman was a Social Worker for the Health Department and a member of St. Andrew United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Walker.
Ruth is survived by her children, Lee Walker (Cheryl) and Deborah Bauer (Bruce); sister, Anna F. Walker; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Highlands Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Salvation Army.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, where there is hatred, let me sow love; where this is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy; Oh Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
