GRIES, ELIZABETH "BETTY" ANN STEINMETZ, 78, of Louisville, died January 6, 2011.
She was born in Louisville on October 23, 1932 to the late Edward J. and Swanee M. Steinmetz.
Betty graduated from Mercy Academy in 1951 and worked for Seagrams, Liberty National Bank, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and Sears.
She was preceded in death by her four siblings Catherine Bowling, Edward, Charles and William Steinmetz.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Nancy) Gries of Louisville, Nancy (Pedro) Martinez of Macon, GA, Jim (Linda) Gries of Louisville, Jennifer Mason of Louisville, Julia (Mark) Bacon of Louisville; and grandchildren, John and Katie Gries, Natalie of Atlanta, GA, Valerie, and Elizabeth Martinez, Jill and Gina Gries, Mackenzie Mason and Max and Olivia Bacon.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Road, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
