BORNTRAEGER, Sr., Bruce G., 84, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013.

Born in Louisville, he was an alumni of Flaget High School and retired from UPS. He was also co-owner of Fairview Boat Harbor, and a member of the Shamrock Club and St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Borntraeger; a son, B.J. Borntraeger; and a daughter, Laura Borntraeger.

He is survived by children, Patty Anderson, Donna Legel (Roy), Jo Ann Peak, Janie Washbish (Doug), Tom Borntraeger (Donna) and Linda Bennett (Bland); sister, Martha Moorman; grandchildren, Tracy, Brent, Thad, and Kory Legel, Mandy Conti, Kelsi Borntraeger, Will Bennett, and Laura and Paul Borntraeger; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Bruce’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11th at St. Pius X, 3521 Goldsmith Lane. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
