Laird,
Carol Defee, 89, of Louisville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 25, 2012.
She was a native of Ft. Worth, Texas and previously lived in Bowling Green, KY prior to her recent residency at Treyton Oak Towers in Louisville, KY.
Carol graduated from TCU with a B.A. and received a Masters Degree from WKU. She was an educator in Texas and Kentucky and a member of the D.A.R. and State Street United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, KY. Carol was an avid bridge player, with interests in reading and world travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Walter “Larry” Laird, a professor at WKU and her daughter, Pamela Laird Antinetti.
Carol is survived by her son, David Gregory Laird and his wife, Nancy Laird of Louisville and son-in-law, Norman E. Antinetti, Oakdale, CA. She also leaves five grandchildren, Richard Stephens Laird, Atlanta, GA., David Christian Laird and his wife, Ayushmaa, of Ulan Bator, Mongolia, Stephen Bates Laird, of Louisville, Amy Antinetti, David N. Antinetti and his wife, Rachelle, Oakdale, Ca; six great-grandchildren, Khaliuna, Lukas, Dominic, Alivia, Carlo, and Lachlan.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at State Street United Methodist Church, 1101 State Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
