Casey Combs, 48, of Louisville, Ky., passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, in Louisville. Casey was born in Seymour on Dec. 6, 1962, the son of Stanley Glen and Beulah Newkirk Combs. On March 20, 1999, he married Helen Keely Combs, who survives in Louisville. Casey graduated in 1981 from Seymour High School. He was an independent businessman, having previously worked as a golf professional at Wildwood Country Club in Louisville. Casy was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with his family. In 2006, he won the Kentucky State Amateur Championship. He won many various golf tournaments and awards in his lifetime. Casey is survived by his wife, mother and a daughter, Carlee Allison Combs. He is also survived by three brothers, Glen Dale Combs, David Lee Combs and Mark Steven Combs; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Family and friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating the funeral service at 7 p.m. at Voss Chapel in Seymour. Visitation will also be at Highland Funeral Home, Louisville, Ky., from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a funeral service following at 7 p.m. Memorials may be written to the trust fund for his daughter Carlee or to the donor's choice. vossfuneralservice.com
