DOMECK, CORNEAL L. "NEAL," JR., 86, of Prospect, KY, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East. He was a 1943 graduate of DuPont Manual High School and served as a LTJG in the United States Navy. He served in the Navy's V-12 program during World War II while attending Stevens Institute of Technology.
Neal later graduated from Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville and did graduate work there in Chemical Engineering. He served in the US Naval Reserves as a surface officer until 1960. Neal worked in Research and Development for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company for more than 30 years. His research resulted in two patents.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nell Hubbard Domeck; four children, Nick Domeck (Nancy), Anne Domeck Sklare (Jerry), Amanda Dreckman (Joe), and Julie Domeck (Bonnie); and six grandchildren, Corey Domeck (Anne), Craig Domeck (Jenna), Emily Domeck, James "Jay" Burke, Ben Dreckman, and Maureen Dreckman.
His family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist Hospital East for their loving care. A private memorial service will be held.
