BYERS, DAVID W., 79, of Louisville, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at Westside Regional Medical Center in Florida.
He was a former employee of Medtronic Pacemakers, retired from Kentucky State Highway Department, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church.
David is preceded in death by his wife, the former Sally Ann Hancock; and their son, David M. Byers.
Survivors include his son, Mark Byers (Ann Marie); daughter, Amy Cotterill (Tim); grandchildren, Zachary, Taylor Marie, Elise and Britten, Tommy Lee; and a sister, Ruth Graves.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
