Obituary for David G. Dumeyer Sr.

DUMEYER, Sr., David G., 90, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Born in Louisville, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and received 2 Purple Heart medals. He was the Art Director at WHAS for 32 years and designed the logo for the Crusade for Children, of which he was an integral part for the first 50 years. Dave was a member of the American Legion Highland Post #201, serving 3 terms as Commander, and a Catholic by faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jane; and his 3 siblings.
He is survived by his children, David G. Dumeyer, Jr. (Stephanie) and their son, Griff; Mary Jo Flaherty (Kevin) and their son, Justin Owen; and Nancy Dumeyer and her daughter, Erica.
Dave’s funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11th at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, at Highlands.
