Obituary for Dolly Paris

PARIS, Dolly, 90, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at her home.
The former Dolly Bowles was a cofounder of Central American Airways. Dolly was Miss Miami in 1943 and was selected to participate in the 1943 Miss America Contest. In 1963 she flew in the Powder Puff Derby air race. She was a member of the Morning star chapter O.E.S. She was also a member of Springdale Presbyterian Church and graduated from Louisville Girls High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Will Paris.
Dolly is survived by her daughter, Doll Lee Paris; son, W.L. Paris (Kristie); granddaughter, Tara Ashley; and friend and loving care taker, Pam Graham.
Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 2, at Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8.
