SINGER, EARL DOUGLAS, 72, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2011.
He was born on September 8, 1938 in Pensacola, FL. He attended John Brown University and was an Army veteran working in medical research. He spent 27 years of his career as a manufacturer's representative and district manager for Royal Business Machines. He was an honorary Kentucky Colonel and a member of Faith Community Church UCC.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Myra Schell Singer; sons, Kevin M. Singer (Amy) of Louisville and Eric D. Singer of Greensboro, NC; daughter, Lori M. Singer of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, Nathan, Trenton and Adam.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands.
