89, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009 at her home. A native of Louisville, she was the former Edna Kurk and a retired bookkeeper with the U.S. Government. Edna was also a member of the Louisville Hiking Club and Concordia Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband William Jack Schweitzer; nephew, Thomas Kurk (Betty); a great-niece; and three great-nephews. Her service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1127 E. Broadway, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church.
