SCHMITT, EDWARD P., 85, of Louisville passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Suburban Hospital.
Born in Louisville, he was a US Army veteran, retired supervisor for CSX Railroad, a 1943 graduate of St Xavier High School and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Meyer Schmitt and his son, Eric Schmitt.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Cranston (Kevin), Nancy Peters and Laura Hughes (Gary); brothers, Karl Schmitt (Grace) and Joe Schmitt (Judy); 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial service for Edward will be Wednesday September 29, 2010 at 7p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with memorial visitation from 4-7 p.m.
