Elizabeth “Betty” J.   Lococo
Elizabeth “Betty” J. Lococo, 89, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
Betty dedicated her life to raising her 7 children as well as many others who knew her as “Mom”, especially on “Meatball Sundays”. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, attending U of L games and spending summers at Lakeside Swim Club with family and friends. She was a member of St. Brigid Church and a 50 year member of St. Raphael Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Vincent J. Lococo; parents, Paul and Clara Berning; sister, Ann Derr and her son-in–law, Hugh C. Wright, Jr.
Betty is survived by her 7 children, Betty Anne Williams (Glen), Donna Lococo, Jenny Siegel (Mike), Kathy Wright, Paul (Brigitte), Barbie Miller (Larry), Marty Meredith Lococo (Bob Goodman); 22 grandchildren; 28 great- grandchildren, and sisters, Nancy Deters and Lucy Massaro.
Her funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 1520 Hepburn Ave. with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass Saturday at her church. Family and Friends are welcome to celebrate Betty’s Life at her home directly after the burial.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville, Alzheimer’s Foundation, Hugh C. Wright Scholarship Fund (Bellarmine College) or Angela’s Gift (Assumption High School).
The family would like to thank the staff of Hosparus Health, especially, Samantha, Liana, Mary Alice, and Dr. Snyder for their support and care.
