Erskin “Cleo”, 87, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Baptist Health.
Cleo was a WWII Navy veteran, a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, an amateur photographer, and a retired truck driver for Banner Transfer. Over the last several years Cleo developed a very close relationship with Cleo Smith. They attended Sellersburg Church of Christ and expanded their faith thru tapes and phone communication.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Margaret Baker; and his parents, Erskin and Georgiana Taylor.
Erskin is survived by his son, Danny Ray Taylor (Kathleen); daughter, Linda Clark (Tom); sister, Lorene Brown (Rodney); grandchildren, Tonya Perkins, Tara Istre, Derrick Anson, Dana Mitchell, Chris Taylor, Denise Clark, Lisa Clark-Hagan and Paula Bucko; great-grandchildren, Crystal, Morgan, Landon, Kendal, Reagan, Gregory, Evan, Cassie, Hunter, Haley, Reese, Collin, Chase, Lily and Jackson; and three great-great-grandchildren, Kelan, Conner and Carson.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands.
