Weisser,
Evelyn Amelia Schiemann, 94, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011.
Evelyn was a graduate of Atherton Girls’ High School, a former member of Meadow Heights Woman’s Club, and a devoted member of Bethel St. Paul Church. She loved company, made the best sugar cookies, always had M and M’s on hand, but mostly she will be remembered for her strong Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Paul, and 7 siblings.
Evelyn is survived by her son, David Weisser, of Lexington; daughters, Barbara Stewart (Mike), Marilyn Haley (Kelly) of Newburgh, IN, and Evelyn Lee (John); sister, Margie S. Towery of Marion, KY; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rosenbaum and many nieces and nephews. She was “Mammaw” to 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Bethel St Paul Church, 4004 Shelbyville Rd. with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 -7:00 p.m. Friday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Bethel St. Paul Church.
