Obituary for Evelyn Wetzel

WETZEL, Evelyn A., 100, of Louisville, died Sunday, June 19, and has gone to be with her heavenly father.
The former Evelyn Bosler, lovingly known as “Ev”, was a homemaker and worked at Byck’s St. Matthews for many years. She enjoyed bridge, gin rummy, and traveling with her friends. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday, surrounded by loved ones. She was a devoted member of Beargrass Christian Church for 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Winfield G. Wetzel.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherrill Hardaway and Janet Sleadd (James); grandchildren, Brian Hardaway (Carol) of Vermont, Holly Hardaway, of New Jersey, and Jeff Sleadd (Olivia) of Louisville; great-grandchildren, Stacey Banfield-Hardaway of New York, Jackson and Jude Sleadd.
Her funeral service will be at Highland Family Owned Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., June 23rd, with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4-7:30 p.m.
