Obituary for Floyd Grady MITCHELL

MITCHELL, Floyd “Grady”, 90, of Louisville passed away January 3, 2010 at V.A. Medical Center. Originally from Pulaski, Tennessee, he was a retired G.E. Tool & Die Maker.He also taught at J-Town Vocational School after retirement. Mr. Mitchell was a 60 year member of Masonic Lodge #740 and a member of Fourth Avenue UMC.Floyd is preceded in death by his wife, the former Willya (Vivian) Webb and is survived by his son, Richard K. Mitchell (Debbie); grandchildren, David and Richard Mitchell; along with two great-grandchildren, Blaise and Zander Mitchell; and a special caregiver, Kay Barrett. Funeral services will be January 7, 2010, 11 a.m., at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6, 2010, from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to his church Building Fund.
