Obituary for Forrest Day

Day, Forrest Benson, 89, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
Although he loved Kentucky, Forrest was a native of Ohio. He was a U.S. Navy WW II Veteran and worked for Commercial Credit Corporation for 40 years, retiring as Director of Management Systems. Forrest was a member of Southeast Christian Church and attended the Church of Christian Faith in The Villages, Florida for 15 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and golf.
Forrest was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Day McGinnis; parents, Benson and Alma Day and brother, Charles E. Day.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Virginia Bagby Day; son, Forrest Timothy Day (Nancy); daughter, Nita Davis (Paul); 7 wonderful and loving grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild and son-in-law, Jack McGinnis.
His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with a private interment at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers, Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
