SCOTT, Gary Marvin, 62, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at his home.
Born in Millerstown, KY, he was a retired police officer for LMPD. He was a member of the NRA and the local 89 Teamsters. Gary was a man of many talents, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and being outdoors. He was always there for everyone, and everyone loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Muriel Scott; and a brother, Roger E. Scott.
Gary is survived by his loving partner of 18 years, Jennifer Young, and her children, Matthew, Laurana and Jessica; sons, David G. Scott and Mark A. Scott; brothers, Wayne T. Scott, Danny R. Scott (Deronda), Russell J. Scott and David N. Scott (Donna); 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Maranda, Breanna and Zachary; nieces and nephews, Craig, Jill, Audrey, Tony, Matthew, Hanna and Eric; and an extended loving family.
His funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 20th at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in the Scott Family Cemetery, in Leitchfield, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Wednesday and 11 until time of service Thursday at Highlands.
