SWEETS, GARY ROBERTS, 52, passed away peacefully after his bout with cancer on November 8, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was an employee of Socayr Property Management. Gary was a man of many great qualities, especially being a wonderful people person loved by all who met him. He always shared a laugh, a joke or a good adage to live by. He was a lifelong music fan and a self-taught musician, singer and songwriter.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole; stepson, Gavin; ex-wife, Cara; daughters, Lea Nichole and Cayla Marie; grandchild, Hayleigh Nichole; and brothers, Michael (Pam) and David (Angela).

His funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Sunday until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Highlands Funeral Home to help the Sweets' family cover medical costs.
