BAUER, GEORGE WILLIAM, 73, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Regis Woods Health Care Center.
He was a Marine Corps Veteran and retired from the Ford Motor Company Kentucky Truck Plant. He was a Christian by faith.
His early childhood was spent mostly in Colesburg, KY, reared by his great aunt and uncle, the late Lawrence and Louise (Louly) Ruxer Booth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. (Buddy) and Helen Chawk Bauer and his oldest son, Mark Starr Bauer.
Surviving is his loving and devoted wife, Mary Linda Starr Bauer; sons, William Gregory (Terri) and Jeffrey Joseph Bauer; daughter, Mary Beth Bauer Neel (Paul); four granddaughters and a step-grandson; brother, Thomas Chawk Bauer, (Norma Fowler); sister, Mary Ellen Bauer; three great nephews and one great-niece.
His service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 1 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial Visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Friday until time of service at the funeral home.
