SAUNDERS, GERTRUDE ANGELINE, 98, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.
She was the former Gertrude Stochay, a homemaker, member of Walnut Street Baptist Church since 1937, and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 265.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Stochay and wife, Mary and Arthur Stochay and wife, Dorothy; son-in-law, Kenneth Laugherty; and brother-in-law, Olin McWhorter.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Laugherty; sister, Julia Margaret McWhorter; grandchildren, Karen Stout (Brian) and Kevin Laugherty (Justin Bank); and great-grandchildren, Harrison and Edie Stout.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
