SCHIPPER, GLADYS, G., 99, of Louisville, passed away March 4, 2011.
Born in Union Co., KY., she was the former Gladys Gregory and a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing. She was employed for many years at St. Joseph Infirmary and the Louisville Health Department. She attended St. Stephen Martyr for many years and more recently attended St. Margaret Mary.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer B. Schipper (whom she was married to for 51 years until his death in 1991); and seven siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Moll of Louisville; granddaughters, Elizabeth Black (Chris) of Salt Lake City, UT and Kristen Brumfield (Chris) of Louisville; four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Anna Black of Salt Lake City, Adeline and Alex Brumfield of Louisville; sister, Betty Bogan (Bob) of Greenwood, IN.; nieces, Sue Ann Ahern (Des) and Jane McCabe (Jim); nephew, Tom Schoenbaechler (Kathy); and many other nieces and nephews.
Her Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Margaret Mary, 7813 Shelbyville Road, with burial in Calvary Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
