66, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Baptist Hospital East. She was the formere Gloria Young and a native of Louisville. She was a homemaker and a member of Southeast Christian Church, where she volunteered for 20 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Maxine Young; and her son, Kyle. Gloria is survived by her husband of 47 years, H. Lynn Whobrey; son Adam B. Whobrey; daughter Laura Hudson; grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, and Leslie Hudson; brother, Richard T. Young; and a sister, Peggy Young. Gloria was a loving devoted mother, homemaker, wife and grandmother, she will be missed by many. A very special thanks to Priscilla Hubbs, her aunt. The service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy., with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Her visitation is from 1-8 p.m. at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Adam's Pantry in care of Baptist East.
